I purchased this booster because the cellular service in our new suburban home was terrible. The house is well insulated with foil-backed sheeting and low E windows (both signal killers). I only had 1-2 bars showing on my iPhone prior to installing the booster, I now have a full 4 bars. I did a lot of testing before purchasing the unit, the problem was the iPhone signal trying to leave the house. Using an iPhone to test cellular signal strength is a total joke, so I used Safari to run internet speed tests making certain Wifi was disabled on the iPhone (forcing the test out the cellular path). You could clearly see the imbalance between the data throughput coming into the house and the throughput leaving the house After the installation of the booster, the data throughput in both directions is very similar and greatly improved.
